Epilepsy Prevention 

Epilepsy is something that cannot be cured but can be prevented. There are many medications that cure epilepsy. But there are non medical treatments too. By wearing a  helmet, putting on a seatbelt, and putting children in car seats are all ways of preventing seizures. But some seizures are not treatable,so they have to receive surgery to cure it. There are two types of surgeries called resection or resective surgery. In this type, the surgeon removes the part of the brain where the seizures occur in. The second and less common type of seizure is called disconnection surgery and it is where the surgeon interrupts the nerve pathway which blocks it from spreading. And those are some of the many ways that a person can prevent epilepsy.
