Causes and Effects of TS 2

Causes and Effects:                                                                                          

Scientists don't know for sure what causes TS, but they do know the effects. Effects vary from person to person and depends on how many body cells are effected by the changed X chromosome.

 

Physical Features:

  • Short in height -- average height of 4 feet 7 inches
  • Complications in Ovarie development
  • Don't normally go through puberty
  • Overweight 
  • Webbed neck -- folds of skin
  • Low hairline on neck
  • Drooping eyelids
  • Oddly shaped and low set ears                                                              
  • Abnormal bone development -- particularly in hands and elbows
  • More than usual number of moles on the skin
  • Edema - swelling in hands and feet

 

 

Internal Problems:

  • Kidney
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Heart Problems
  • Hearing Difficulties 
  • Diabetes
  • Thyroid Problems

 

Mental and Skillful Problems:

  • Difficulty in learning, especially in math
  • Map reading or visual organization
  • Problems with body image and self esteem

I would rearragement your page to have the pix next to teh symptoms. Or, have captions for your pictures. I'm not sure which picture goes with which symptom.
