~David fell in love with Susan Marchant and married
her in 1824.
~They were married for 16 yrs when she died in 1840.
~Two years later, David married Virginia Loyal of Norfolk,
and had his son, Loyall Farragut.
Education
out at sea.
Interests
~ Followed his father to sea at age eight.
~ Fought in combat at age eleven.
~ Commanded a vessel at age twelve.
