- First symptoms are usually facial tics. An example would be common eye blinking.
- As time goes by motor tics usually facial tics appear. Motor tics are thing like head jerking, body twisting. body bending, foot stamping and neck stretching
- Tourettes Syndrome patients may say strange and sometime unacceptable phrases, words or sounds
- One with Tourettes Syndrome also could have echolalia, which is were they constantly repeat the words of other people
- Its not uncommon for a person with Tourettes Syndromet to continuously clear his or her throat, cough, sniff, grant, yelp, bark or shout
- Basic cause is unknown
- Current research explanes there is an abnormality in the gene or genes affecting the brains metabolism of neuro transmitters such as dopamine, serotonine and norepinephrine
