Hemophilia is a disorder of your blood-clotting system. clotting is the process by which your blood changes from a liquid to a soild state in order to stop the bleeding.

Bleeding in the mouth from a cut or bite or from cutting or losing a tooth 

 Heavy bleeding from a minor cut

Bleeding from a cut that resumes after stopping for a short time

Bleeding  in the knees, elbows, or other joints is another common form

Of internal bleeding in people who have hemophilia. This bleeding can occur without obvious injury.

People with these signs  may have the symptoms

 

 

  • Joint pain and swelling, frequently in the knees and elbows
  • Heavy bleeding, or bleeding that lasts a long time, from an accident or other injury
  • A delay in the start of bleeding
  • Large bruises
  • Swelling under the skin and between muscles, with fever, skin discoloration, and pain
  • Internal bleeding in the abdominal region, airway, or central nervous system
  • Bleeding of the mouth and gums, tooth loss
  • Blood in the urine
  • Digestive problems

Hemophilia can bleeds occur most often in their joints but can also occur in their muscles and under the skin.  

 

If hemophilia is severe you can have blood in your urine (from bleeding in their kidneys or the bladder) and blood in their feces.

Hemophilia is a bleeding disorder caused by a lack of blood clotting factor. The disorder can be mild, moderate or severe, depending on the level of clotting factor. More than 15,000 people in the united states have hemophilia

You've got a good start. Remember to put your citations in proper MLA format (use bibme.org on the front page of the wiki), then put the citation in a footnote. This should be really quick and easy -- see the Helpful Hints page if you don't remember how.

You are doing a very good job here. Follow Mrs. Young's instructions for the citations. If you need help in class tomorrow let me know. I think this could use a little more formatting to make the titles pop out and sections flow. This is getting close to being a complete section.

I think you're last two sentences should be before the two on where the bleeds can occur. Put the sentence explaining clotting first, then the one about severity, then where the bleeds are and about blood in your urine. It will flow better. If you think of another way that you like better go ahead and try it. This is just a suggestion.
