How Cell Division Effects Sickle Cell Disease

Sickle Cell Disease effects the red blood cells.  When they go through mitosis to reproduce the the mutation on chromosome 11 causes the protein configuration to denature.  This denaturing causes the sickle shape of the effected cells.[1]
