These are some symptoms that will be present in a person with albinism...

  • Absence of pigment from the hair, skin, or iris of the eye
  • Patchy absence of pigment
  • Lighter than normal skin or hair
  • Rapid eye movements
  • Strabismus (eyes not tracking properly)
  • Photophobia (light avoidance)
  • Decreased visual acuity or even functional blindness[1]
